  • Inauguration Ceremony

    The inauguration ceremony will begin sharp at 09:00 a.m on 9th April in LH 325. The chief guest for the event is Mr. Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi.

    The event will be followed by a lecture session with our keynote presentor, Diwakar Vaish, the inventor of the humanoid robot 'Maanav'.

Man is too proud in this world to do such menial work and PETA has ensured that the animals don’t do it either. So the responsibility lies on the capable tyres and grips of your robots. You have important material to be transported from one part of the town to the other part, via intricately designed network of roads. But are your robots qualified enough? What if reality is a virtual reality of an infinite virtual realities? What if you visualise yourself falling in a blackhole. We are pretty sure you are confused. So, if you are a virtual reality lover, here's your chance to make your own Virtual Reality application. Samsung in collaboration with Vortex IITD is organising a Appathon on the theme of "Virtual Reality", a trendy computer technology nowadays. You will be required to make a Virtual Reality Android Application applying your combinations and lovely ideas. An initial knowledge related to Virtual Reality and app development will be given by the members of Samsung. Only a basic knowledge of coding and a passion for learning is required. Feeling curious of the prizes, Rs 30,000 is up for grabs for the top ranker while all the winners will also receive internship offers at Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore. Cheers!!!

Decode in Analog

Tap into your inner electronics genius for this exciting event, wherein you are given everything but the circuit itself! Your task is to find out the hidden electronic circuit with the help of the given inputs and outputs. An event for the true electronics enthusiasts, this is a challenge no true engineer should miss.

Bring your laptop with simulation software like LTspice or MultiSim installed on them. The participants will be provided with tools like function generators, battery eliminators, DSO, etc. to study the input and output of the circuit in the black box.

PicXtreme

Who doesn’t love to click pictures and being awesome at the same time? Here is an opportunity for all of you to click cool pictures and record groovy videos plus be rewarded for the same. Perfect, right!

The event will have on the spot registration and the only requirement for the competition is a camera. So all you formally need to compete is creativity and skills to click pictures or record videos. You will be judged on a relative scale for awesomeness!! Quite easy!

Each round carries a weightage and the total score will determine the winner. So focus on creativity rather than hushing things up. No brownie points for finishing first. Capture the best shot.

B-Plan

Entrepreneurship gives people an opportunity to work on their own skills and likes and at the same time they are creating a job of their own interest. B-Plan is an opportunity to enhance the interest of blooming entrepreneurs in the field of business. Put on your thinking caps and try to decrypt our messages. The event comprises of 3 rounds and you will have to decode 3 hidden messages from the images provided by us. A basic knowledge of signal and image processing and a little computing will be sufficient to contest for the prize. Remember “Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.”
